A dull kind of Monday

Dull in a good way.  I'm looking forward to returning to the simplicity of my week day eating.  Yogurt and mashed pumpkin,  veggie based chicken soup (broccoli is the primary veggie) and a protein shake.

I don't believe I'll be working out today.  Been thinking about my workouts lately.  Long before Jane Fonda first appeared on the exercise scene (does that date me?), my mother used to exercise.  She did left lifts out the wazoo and six-inches (don't ask, it's torture) and sit ups.  I am beginning to wonder if I can't come up with my own routine for most days and then simply take a brisk walk at lunch for my cardio.   My routine would include sit ups (not quite a wazoo, but close), left lifts, donkey kicks (remember those - they're great for the butt), squats, lunges, push-ups and planks.  A couple of days a week I'd throw in some weight work for my bones.    It's something I've been mulling over for a while.  And I'll mull it over for a while yet.

In the mean time, I will get a workout in tomorrow.  My project at work should be wrapping up so I shouldn't have a long day.

And speaking of long days, it's time to get this on started.

And Sunny - thanks for checking in on me and all the encouraging words!

  1. I STILL have the Jane Fonda video. LOL And my mom did her exercise to Jack La Lane! I can out-date you! LOL

I suggest dancing. Make an iPod dancelist with your favorite all time dance songs. Set it to shuffle, and just joy your way to better health! :)
